Uitgeverij Het Haantje

Uitgeverij Het Haantje

Uitgeverij Het Haantje is a small, independent Dutch publisher with a taste for subjects that others prefer to avoid. It gives a platform to courageous voices and combines personal stories with expert analysis on themes around gender, identity and women's rights. It is the original publisher of 'Gender Rebels', the Dutch book that started the Rebel Girls project, bringing together contributions from dozens of women and girls alongside well-known experts. The book — and the wider project — tackles the taboos of our time, from online culture and gender ideology to the position of women in society and religion.
